A few terms explained
A short glossary for anyone new to the vocabulary our instructors use in class.
- Placement
- A short conversation before the Tempered Program begins, used to match your current experience to the right starting group rather than a fixed test.
- Intake
- A new group of students starting a course together on the same weekly schedule, rather than joining individually at any point.
- Drill
- A repeated practice exercise, usually done with a rotating partner, that builds one specific movement step by step.
- Loaner gear
- Training equipment supplied as part of a course and sized at your first session, so no personal purchase is required before you start.
